TUMMMY TUCK

PANNICULECTOMY

MINI-TUMMY TUCK

TUMMY-TUCK  /  ABDOMINOPLASTY
An abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck is designed to improve the appearance of the entire abdomen. This procedure involves removing excess skin and fat from both the upper and lower abdomen, and tightening the abdominal muscles.  Notice Dr. Mehta's signature "innie belly button" which makes the scar virtually invisible.  Dr. Mehta also adds liposuction to most tummy tucks for optimal results. Back Lipo and fat transfer to the buttocks, can be added as well for a more complete body transformation. It's usually a same day surgery, and patients can return to an office job in a week.  If you've lost a large amount of weight and have loose skin which causes rashes underneath, it may be partially covered by insurance.
LOWER BODY LIFT

(Includes tummy tuck, thigh lift, buttock lift)

A lower body lift targets the entire lower body, including the abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks. This procedure involves making a circumferential incision around the lower body, removing excess skin and fat from the entire lower body, and tightening the abdominal muscles, as well as the muscles in the hips and buttocks. It is typically recommended for patients who have undergone significant weight loss and have excess skin and fat in multiple areas of the lower body. A lower body lift includes a tummy tuck, thigh lift, and buttock lift.  Liposuction of waist, bra rolls and back can also be done, as well as fat transfer to the buttocks for the best 360° appearance.  It may be partially covered by insurance.

    PANNICULECTOMY  WITH  ABDOMINOPLASTY
A Panniculectomy w/ abdominoplasty is a large Tummy Tuck because of the extent of skin and fat removed.  Such a procedure drastically improves the patient's quality of life and can sometimes be covered by insurance, at least partially, if it is considered medically necessary.

    MINI-TUCK
    (can be done awake)
A mini tummy tuck is a less invasive surgical procedure that is designed to improve the appearance of the lower abdomen. This procedure involves making a small incision just above the pubic area, removing excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen. It is typically recommended for patients who have a small amount of excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen and do not require a full abdominoplasty. Liposuction may be added to the entire abdomen, waist, and bra rolls for greater results.  This procedure can be performed under local or general anesthesia, and most people return to work after a weekend recovery.

Large Tummy tucks, Body Lifts & Panniculectomies may be covered, or partially covered by insurance.  To qualify for insurance coverage, you must have a skin fold hanging below the pubic area, and get chronic rashes underneath.  If you have such a condition, we would be glad to take photos of the area and submit to your insurance for approval. On the other hand, if you decide to self-pay, you will find that our fees are fair. Financing is available as well. Call us for details.
